Is William Shakespeare the author of Shakespeare plays?
Proof that William Shakespeare is not the author of Shakespeare plays:
There are many theories stating that William Shakespeare is not the writer of Shakespearian plays. Many of these theories are based around the face that there is very little information given to us about him.
· If Shakespeare was a writer he could have been buried in the poets corner Westminster Abbey but he is not.
· There is no evidence that William Shakespeare ever attended school so it would be impossible to him to have the writing ability that he did. In the late 1500s very few people other than the wealthy nobility and universities owned books. Books in universities were chained to the desks so it would have been impossible for Shakespeare to steal them.
· Shakespeare’s daughters were illiterate. If Shakespeare is indeed the great writer he is known to be, he would have taken his time to educate his daughters so they could pass on his talent.
· There are doubts that Shakespeare could read or write so it would be impossible for him to have an extensive vocabulary of over 30,000 words
· The exact date of William Shakespeare’s birth is unknown and there are few sources proving that he even existed. Being such a prominent figure in that era, these things should have been documented.
· None of his original manuscripts were kept
· There are no documents stating that anyone saw the famous play writer and his family never referred to him as one.
· Shakespearian plays are very political. Many of them attack the monarchy and the king. If King James would have known who the author was, he would have killed him so there is a good reason for the real Shakespearian author to hide his identity.

My opinion
Even though there are not many documentations about Shakespeare’s existence, I believe that he was a real person and that he was the writer of Shakespearean plays. I don’t believe that William Shakespeare being poor is a reason to prove that he was not the author of the plays. In today’s day there are many scenarios in which someone was raised in poor living conditions, didn’t have a good education and became something great. Because there was a lot of segregation within the different economic classes in the 1500’s, people doubt that something like this could happen because it wasn’t so common. If a person in today’s day who didn’t have a great education can become famous for their works so can William Shakespeare. William Shakespeare had a talent for writing and that would have been instilled in him whether he was rich or poor.
